Dr. Guy Higashi

Currently, the Creative Arts and the Online and Graduate Programs Director for New Hope Christian College, Dr. Higashi is also the Master of Arts in Formational Leadership Program Director and an Associate Professor for Capital Seminary, a division of Lancaster Bible College. Guy provides leadership for both the Eugene and Hawai'i campuses as former President of Pacific Rim Christian College- Hawai'i. His work and ministry experience include Director of Continuing Education at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, Administrative Director for Tommy Walker, Integrity and Maranatha songwriter, Senior Pastor of New Hope Pearl Community, and part of the management team for Wayne Cordeiro of New Hope Christian Fellowship. Guy's corporate experience includes IBM and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

With his Master's degree in Worship Theology & Arts and a Doctorate in Missiology (emphasis in Ethnomusicology) from Fuller Theological Seminary, Guy organizes worship conferences and mission projects around the world. His passion is to equip pastors and leaders with resources for Kingdom purposes, especially in the areas of missiology worship and the arts.

He loves playing the ukulele and guitar, outdoor activities like fly fishing, helping at the ranch with Ps. Wayne, IDPA pistol competitions, and gardening. He and his wife enjoy movies, concerts, and nice steak or sushi dinner dates. Guy and Lori have been married 31 years and have four children: Jamie, Shayna, Sherri, and Joshua. They also have five grandchildren, Maicah, Jylian. Jayde, Titus, and Tirzah.
