Yuzuri Nagai
Yuzuri has been studying natural plant dyeing since 2019. She works in sync with the cycle of nature as she grows dye plants + cotton from seeds to crop in her garden. Her curiosity about clothing led her to deepen her knowledge about natural fibers + textile as well as to learn the history of clothing + dyeing both in Japan + around the world. She has received training in silkworm farming, zaguri (a Japanese threading technique), + weaving, using her own hands to honor the long process of how fiber turns to thread, dyed with plants, then to cloth.
