Alexis Combs
Full-time teacher and mother of dragons and unicorns. She’s spent the last six years braving the halls of *gasp* middle school, teaching 6th and 7th-grade science. When not lesson planning, grading, and teaching, she can be found proudly raising Things 1 and 2! Being a mom of 3-year-old twins is busy work, but she finds joy in educating their growing minds with all things science and loving them every day! Prior to being a teacher and a mama, she received her B.S of Biology at Tuskegee University (T U - You Know!) and a M. Ed. at George Washington University. So, you know, it all makes perfect sense - she likes school so much she became a teacher!
And in her downtime? Whenever there is any, she can be found enjoying nature walks with her kiddos, reading books or perusing Facebook profiles on her phone, or creating. She’s a lover of arts and crafts and is a self-proclaimed DIY-er - from installing her own crochet braids to making a crochet blanket; she prides herself on learning it and doing it all herself. In these moments, she is thankful every day for the family, love, life, career, and the infinite blessings God has placed in her life.
